    Links into Queries

Another enchancement request I would like to make would be to make all reports "clickable".  Unfortunately, I have to say this is one area where Dashboard has this product beat.  In Dashboard you can click on just about anything and see the corresponding data that makes those numbers.  Navigator would have it ALL if you could do that (don't get me wrong - I still love the product).

I.e. on a summary report like "Active by Group Assigned"...it would be great to be able to click on one of the groups in the results to see all the cooresponding tickets that are currently open and assigned to that group.  The custom links into ServiceDesk are great on the detailed reports, but they still only show you ONE ticket at a time instead of a group of tickets.  Is this something you have in the works for the next version?

    Re: Links into Queries

This functionality is possible in the current product. Typically it is implemented as a scripting or services engagement.

This feature is referred to internally as "drill-down". I will write up a how-to on how this can be accomplished and post it to the how-to forum. Look for it in the next day or so. If you want to see the functionality sooner please let me know a time when we can work via web ex to get at least one drill down report working in your environment.

    Thank you!

    Brian,

That is VERY good news!  I am eager to see the how-to forum post.  Instead of eating up all of your time, I will wait for the post and see if it is something that I (or someone on my team) can do ourselves. If not, I will probably take you up on your offer of an example report because I know this functionality is something my boss really likes in Dashboard.

    Thanks again!
